Day 5 - Am I Qualified To Evangelize?

It is absolutely natural to feel unqualified for any purpose bigger than ourselves. As a matter of fact, if we want to evangelize effectively, it must come from a place of both faith and trepidation, because the reality is, we are representing (re-presenting / presenting again) the Creator of the universe. Colossians 1:25-29 confirms that not only has God entrusted us with His message, but He has also fully equipped us to accomplish that task. Let that sink in... The Creator of the Universe saw it fit to entrust us with Himself- "The Hope Of Glory." When we have a right perspective of who God is, and who we are in Him, it instills a fearless trust that supersedes every misconception we apply to ourselves. When we truly fear God, we become fearless of everything else, and if we allow it, this will produce an unshakeable confidence that has the power to change the world.

The effectiveness of your evangelism ultimately depends on God's power working within you and not your talents or abilities. It is both immeasurably humbling and encouraging that His message going forth through us was His idea to begin with!
