Carry The Sound Everywhere You Go

Sarah Brosher

At City Week, you heard something deeper than just music or a message…you heard Jesus. Maybe it was through worship, a leader’s prayer, or in a quiet moment. But here’s the truth:

The sound wasn’t just for you. It’s meant to be carried to those around you.

The sound is the testimony you walk out. It’s how your life speaks in the silence. It’s the gospel of Jesus echoing through your lifestyle and your obedience.

You see, camp may be over, but the sound doesn't end when the worship music fades and the lights turn off. The REAL sound starts now. It starts in your school, your job, your home, your everyday moments. It starts with how you live, how you speak, and how you share Jesus’s love to others.

How Do You Carry The Sound With You? (Romans 1:16)

You Carry It Through Your Boldness

Start conversations. Pray out loud. Don’t silence the sound because of fear of fitting in. Speak the name of Jesus with confidence!

You Carry it Through Your Lifestyle (Matthew 5:14-16)

Your life should sound different even when you’re not talking…let that sink in. The sound of love, joy, and freedom is noticeable. People will start to notice the real thing!

You Carry it Through Your Love For Others (John 13:25)

The loudest sound you’ll ever release might be how you treat people. Be a direct reflection of Christ by showing others the way Christ loves us.

QUESTION FOR TODAY: What did God say to me at camp that I need to carry into this next season? Does my lifestyle “sound” like Jesus to the people around me?

PRAY THIS:

Jesus, I don’t want to keep what I experienced at City Week to myself. I want to carry the sound of Your truth and Your love to everyone around me. Help me to speak boldly to others about You and live in such a manner that people can hear You through me. Use me to carry the sound of Your presence everywhere I go. Amen.

TRY THIS:

The sound gets louder when others catch it too! Invite someone to go to Church with you. Pray for your friends WITH them in person, not just FOR them in your quiet time (trust me…this will go a long way!).

Take advantage of every opportunity to share your testimony with others.
