Summer Internship 2024 is for students 6th through 12th grade. The internship program is designed to disciple your student, give them opportunities to serve, stretch and help them get closer to Jesus… ALL WHILE HAVING FUN!
Summer Internship Dates: June 12th through July 31st, 2024
Every Wednesday: 10am till 9pm  
Every Sunday 9am – 12pm
Cost: $35

REGISTRATION CLOSES JUNE 10TH
DINNER : Students will be responsible to pay $35 which helps go towards the cost of dinner. Dinner will be provided weekly for students. The cost of internship goes to help with those dinners.

LUNCH : Additionally each student will need to bring a packed lunch every week OR $10 to contribute towards lunch run for each week they do not bring their own lunch. (We will be staying on campus for all meals this year, but will make arrangements for anyone who does not pack lunch to get food delivered/picked.)

SUMMER INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

·       Communication
Communicate when you’re going to be late or are unable to come. Be sure to let your leaders know right away if you know you won’t be able to be at internship or make a date that you know you are needed for.
·       Attendance
Do your best not to miss any of the dates (total commitment is 7 weeks and each week will build onto the next! We want to make sure you do not miss any part of this Summers activities and discipleship. We ask that you notify Eddie with any dates you will miss and that you communicate any time you are running late or unable to make it.

·       City Week
All interns are asked to attend City Week - June 24th - 28th. This is a huge part of what we do to prepare during the summer. It is not something you will want to miss! There is a cost to City Week, but we encourage students to take ownership and earn the money through fundraising or picking up work/jobs to earn the money.
 
·       Student Take Over Sunday
All interns are asked to attend Student Take Over Sunday - June 23rd and participate in serving for this event. Students will be provided with more information about times but the general timeframe will be 8am - 1pm. This is a big part of what we work on during the summer, families are encouraged to attend and come show support to the students. The service is from 10am - 12pm on June 23rd.

City Week 2024 is a home based missions trip for students 6th through 12th grade. Throughout the week students will have opportunities to serve, feed those in need and help in the community with serve projects. Nightly services will be hosted by ASCEND Student Ministry where they will be challenged to grow in their walk with Jesus and equipped to share Jesus. Think camp... in a whole new way! You do not want your student to miss this event!

PRICE: **EARLY BIRD** $300.00 for the entire week provides lodging, travel, One CW T-shirt, all meals and activities. Students will not need additional spending money - trip is all inclusive. Early Bird Deposit of $30 will secure your students spot at time of registration till June 1st.

**After June 1st, the cost bumps up to $350.00 with $50 registration deposit. Full balance will be due by Wednesday, June 12th. Sign up today to secure your price of $300.00.**
FUNDRAISERS: We will be hosting fundraiser ideas and opportunities to help offset the cost for students. More details about these will be emailed in your confirmation upon registering.

Please note any students who need sponsorships will need to participate in all fundraisers provided in order to apply and receive assistance. Our desire is that money would not keep anyone who would like to attend from being part of this week - please communicate to our team your need by following the link and filling out the sponsorship request. We will be lodging at Lakewood Retreat Center - Brooksville, FL. and doing serve projects throughout Brooksville and Spring Hill. Services and meals will be hosted at Grace World Outreach Church daily.

The safety and care of our students is a priority. Our Student Ministry Pastors and leaders will be with students full time throughout the days and nights during this event. All full time pastors and leaders attending have completed a security background check.

Spots are filling up, but this year everyone gets to participate! In past years ASCEND hosted a worship and prayer night at the courthouse; this we are holding Wednesday Night service for all our students in the chapel.

We get it, things are getting more expensive every day and we do not want money to be the reason your student doesn't come to City Week or any ASCEND Events throughout the year. Our team has worked really hard this year to provide our students with fundraisers that will help them raise the money they need for our trips coming up like City Week.
